Snickerdoodles & Slowing Down

September is one of my favorite times of the year. We really start to gear up for all the fun holidays to come, and there’s a peace about a summer well spent. And I waste no opportunity to throw a batch of snickerdoodles in the oven.

Dillon and I have been busy tackling some house projects while balancing the laundry list of DIYs and things to get ready for Nora’s little birthday party. At night, I’m either doing work or hot glueing something or other for “Camp Nora!”

I create content for a little home store in our town, and the fall and holiday seasons are the busiest. So I know whatever busyness I feel now is only about to get even more hectic as these next few months roll around. So I’m giving myself lots of grace. Trying not to overload my plate, and get as much rest as I can.

Our next few weeks completely open, so we’re going to just take the weeks as they come while prioritizing what’s on our heart as a family. Preparing our home for the next season, spending some sweet family time together, and enjoying our last few weeks before our little peanut turns one!
