Life Lately – Summer Fun

As the school year slowly approaches, I wanted to take a look at our summer so far and recap what’s been happening with us lately. It’s been an incredible summer, and I am so grateful for this season. So here’s a recap on what we’ve been up to.

Travel

We camped earlier in the summer, but have been so busy that our poor tent hasn’t seen the light of day since. I am thinking some fall trips might be in order. (Is it too soon to talk about fall??)

Ahh, our big trip to beautiful Maui (video here). How in the world do we swing another trip there ASAP? It was one of the best trips we’ve taken. Perfect mix of adventure and rest. Spending a week there at the beginning of summer was amazing.

We made some quick road trips around the midwest and found ourselves in Dubuque and Michigan with our friends. Goodness, we are grateful for this time to be able get together with people close to us. We spent lots of time catching up on recent months and dreaming up the future together.

Eastbound and down, baby. Our good friends moved from Madison back to the East Coast, so Dillon and I spent a long weekend there visiting, exploring, eating lobster (I tried), and laughing way, too hard.

Family

We’ve of course spent many weekends back in Chicago with our families. My sister is tying the knot with her soon-to-be husband in just a few short months, and showering her was a highlight weekend for our family. Getting everyone back together under the same roof is always the best.

Changing Tides

Summer is just barely coming to a close. And we’ve been in a season of transition in more ways than one, and I think we are ready to change the tides with our little site here. Dillon and I always put a lot of thought into the content we create and share, and we want our platform to reflect that.

While we transition, things might look a little different as we get settled in our new online home. We are excited for what’s to come!

Cheers,

Dillon & Kelly
