We had the trip of a lifetime and headed to Maui in June. I’ll be the first to say that yes, Hawaii is all it’s cracked up to be. We spent a week in absolute paradise. Here’s a little photo diary to give you a little taste.

We stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort, and it sat ocean front on the south side of Maui. The views just steps from the pool were breathtaking. Blue waters surrounded by lush green, with pockets of perfect sands.

A short drive northwest led us to the Iao Valley, beautifully carved by a stream. The rocks towered above, completely covered in green.We chomp at the bit for adventure, but surprisingly found ourselves enjoying some much needed rest each day right at home in the resort.A must-see is Haleakalā National Park. It was formed by a shield volcano and lifts high above the clouds surrounded by volcanic cones and rocky summits. People often reserve spots to catch the sunrise, but we made it up to watch the sun go down. It was truly the most unbelievable sunset we’ve ever seen.The Road to Hana was filled with little treasures throughout the daylong journey. Cliff jumps, waterfalls, roadside snacks and fruit stands complete with coconuts and banana bread, black sand beaches, and views for days.Seeing these friends swim up just feet away at Ho’okipa beach was definitely a travel bucket list moment. 

Maui was magical. Everything and more. And these are just some of the thousands of photos we took on our weeklong adventure. We did SO much, some things aren’t even mentioned here.
