April of last year, I said yes to my dream dress. I couldn’t wait to wear it, and gush all about it in a blog post!
First off, let me start by saying that if you consider yourself a bride that is boho, vintage inspired, chic, classy, ethereal, and romantic, then BHLDN is the place to try on dresses. I would like to move in to their show room. The style in that place is something else. I absolutely recommend them to anyone searching for their dream dress!
I fell in love with the Fleuretta Gown, by Alma Novia by Rosa Clara. It was such an interesting dress. The first layer was a light champagne, more structured, strapless gown. This could be worn on its own, but what made this dress for me, was the top layer of ivory lace. Together they made the most beautiful gown I had ever worn. It was the perfect mix of structure and flow. And when we added the cathedral veil? I was done. Weepy tears every time I put it on.

We were able to tailor the dress to fit my height, and with the help of a hoop, I could dance the night away with all the flow I wanted. It had buttons down about 2/3 of the entire dress. The ivory overlay let the structure peek through to create an illusion sweetheart neckline, and a beautiful back form beneath the most darling lace designs.
It was so special having my sisters and mom button up my dress on my wedding day. I fought back tears as my mom pinned the little blue pouch that contained a penny from the year she got married, as well as one from 2016, on the inner layer of my dress. (Ahh yes, something old, new, borrowed and blue & the penny all in one!) I didn’t do a first look with Dillon, but I did with my Dad. He hadn’t seen my dress up until the wedding day, so seeing his reaction was so special.

The dress is so me. It is the perfect mix of everything I am. I’ve never felt more beautiful. If I could, I would love to wear this dress to work, while making dinner, and hanging out at home. It is my favorite thing I have ever worn in my entire life.
