Midsummer’s Marvels

The irony that exists when, finally, the girls are sleeping better, I suddenly cannot sleep. The restless hours, the desperately wishing to feel tired enough to doze. But alas, here I am. Up far later than I should be with too many thoughts whirling around my already overcrowded mind.

So, when in doubt, I rifle through my digital memory box that is my photo album and recount the silliness of our days, reflect on the magic of our tiny family adventures, and marvel at our two growing girls.

Does summer speed up time a little bit with kids? Surely Janie can’t be old enough to be standing and playing at a water table. And Nora donning a helmet with a great big balance bike just can’t be.

Dill and I thought it’d be a good idea to capture some family pictures while we’re in those “good old days”. Cue the pizza night, the tidy kitchen, and the “cheeses” for the camera.
